about Mia

Born in Wilmington, Delaware, and raised in Columbia, Maryland, Mia is the proud mother of two daughters. Mia credits her vibrant personality and fashion industry savvy to her Mother, a beauty industry legend and former platform artist for Johnson Products, and her sense of style and creative energy to her father, a self-taught artist well-known as a great dresser. Mia received her formal education at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology and the Academy of Art University, San Francisco. While at the Academy of Art University, Mia received the 2010 Portfolio Grant Award.

Motivated by her love for the industry and desire to instill traditional values within the profession by teaching and mentoring, her most unique quality is her ability to do a lot with a little. Throughout her career, Mia has assisted Pascale Lemaire, Wardrobe/Prop Fashion Director for Baltimore Magazine, and eight years living in New York, working with notable designers and as a fashion week freelance stylist. A professional image consultant, personal stylist, and fashion show consultant Mia serves as a consultant with the Maia Modeling Agency/Sprout Finishing School guiding upcoming models.
